Changes to Facebook

Because EVERYONE seems to be on Facebook...if you haven't read...Facebook announced some structural changes yesterday.

1) Twitter-esque: Facebook members (large and small) can now send out a stream of regular updates from their profile pages. Updates can now be delivered in near real-time (the receiver decides what they get).

2) You can now have up to 25,000 friends versus the previous 5,000. (Craziness! Really!)

3) The status prompt is changing from "What are you doing right now?" to "What's on your mind?" (Not sure I want to know what is on some of my friends' minds!)

4) Facebook Pages are being eradicated. Celebs and companies with fan pages will now have profiles instead.
