How To Reach Moms Online


It was a year for Moms for us at Sway. Virtually every client from scooter companies to water parks wanted to reach "alpha moms" and we weren't surprised. Moms are taking to social media like ducks to water, my own mom asked for Flip Video Camera for Christmas. It's like social media was made for them. Since Sway did quite a bit of research on the group this year, I wanted to share a few bullet points if your brand is trying to reach moms as well.

* 40% of the moms we surveyed belong to social networks.

* 46% were spending 10 or more hours a week online.

* Moms are doing everything social media has to offer with significant percentages watching video, reading blogs, and participating in online forums.

* Moms on social networks were regularly: Connecting with family and friends (79%),
Posting comments (50%), and posting pictures (48%).
